Nintendo Switch Online adds Mario, Donkey Kong Classics

Nintendo has added two Game Boy titles to the Switch Online subscription catalog -and you can now play them.

1994 Classic Donkey Kong is the star of the show here – the highly regarded puzzle platformer who serves as a continuation of the classic DK Arcade Game, with elements of Donkey Kong JR, and also the following Mario vs Donkey Kong titles.

If you have never played it before, there is a nice surprise after the first four levels – which were found in the original Donkey Kong Arcade Cabinet. It is safe to say that the game is larger than just that.

Today also available is Mario’s Picross – what, as you would expect, Picross Puzzles to color in based on Mario and Mushroom Kingdom designs. Originally released for Game Boy in 1995, this was one of the first Picross games and the first in the West.

We are now only a month to find out of more about Nintendo Switch 2, when Nintendo lifts the lid on his next console via a special Nintendo Direct Livestream on 2 April. If you are a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber, the backward compatibility of the Switch 2 suggests that you can continue to play your classic games.
