That is how you make an MVP case.
On Friday evening, Nikola Jokic set up a line that nobody ever recorded in the NBA history: 31 points, 21 rebounds and 22 assists. He became the first NBA player in history with a Triple-Double of 30+ points, 20+ rebounds and 20+ assists.
31 points.
21 rebounds.
22 assists. The very first 30+ pt, 20+ Reb, 20+ Ast game in NBA history 🚨

The Nuggets needed all the historic night of Jokic to beat the suns and go to overtime to win 149-141. Aaron Gordon made seven 3-Pointers on their way to 27 points, and Christain Braun had 25 for the Nuggets.
A Desperate Suns team came out with real energy on Friday evening, but the Nuggets agreed and led it almost the entire game, against 21 on the peak and with 11 in the fourth quarter. Just like a few nights earlier against the clippers, the suns arrived too late and a Kevin Durant 3-Pointer was given to force overtime.
Christian Braun touches the 3 to lead the lead with 1.4 left 🚨
Kevin Durant connects the game to send us to the extension 😱😱😱

The nuggets started the extra period on a 7-0 run and checked it for the rest of the road.
For Jokic to beat Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to win the other leading candidate and current gambling favorite-to MVP, he needs the nuggets to stay a top-three seed in the West, and he needs characteristic moments that remain in the heads of voters.
This game lingers in everyone’s head for a while.
