With a regular season game left, Houston remains in solid form when getting a top seed for the NCAA tournament.
The last projections of Friday of prominent bracket analysts Joe Lunardi from ESPN and Jerry Palm from CBS still have Houston as number 1 seed from the Midwest region, just as they had earlier in the week.
In the latest projections from Lunardi, Houston will be confronted with no. 16 Seed Omaha in the opening round of the Midwest region in Wichita. The winner of that game is confronted with the winner of the competition between no. 8 Mississippi State and no. 9 Gonzaga.
Tennessee is planned to be the number 2 seed, with Texas A&M at number 3 and Purdue at number 4.

The other top seeds of Lunardi are Auburn (South), Duke (East) and Florida (west).
Houston is planned to adopt no. 16 Seed Bryant in the last projections of Palm, also in Wichita. That winner will face the winner of the opening round match between No. 8 UConn – the defensive dual national champions – and no. 9 Vanderbilt.
Palm also has Tennessee as his projected No. 2 seeds in the midwest, followed by Purdue at number 3 and Kentucky at number 4.
